What’s New?
Weighing just 196 g, the ASICS MAGIC SPEED 5 is a full 49 g lighter than its predecessor. The 7 mm drop is also slightly lower, while the overall stack height has been significantly reduced. ASICS shaved off 5 mm in the forefoot and even 6 mm under the heel. The MAGIC SPEED 5 also features a newly configured, full-length carbon-fiber plate and new cushioning.
The midsole now consists of a layer of super-light, extremely responsive FF LEAP foam plus a layer of FF BLAST PLUS to deliver an even better running experience and a noticeably more explosive toe-off. While the previous model was available in separate women’s and men’s versions with different widths, the new MAGIC SPEED is available exclusively as a unisex model.
